The RemoteTx update will automatically take effect when the user closes and opens a new browser window on their device.  Sometimes with Apple devices it is necessary to completely close the Safari process and restart it so the cache updates with the new RemoteTx version.  On the iPhone and iPad this is accomplished by double clicking on the ‘Home’ button, then finding the Safari item and swiping up to close it.

 

Radio Interface Update Details:

Icom 7300:

Added controls:
FM, FM-Tone, FM-TSQL, SQL,  Monitor, VOX, VOX-Gain, Anti-VOX, VOX Delay, TBW, CW-R, ACC Gain (ACC-TX).

Functions:
Smart-Controls feature introduced to make controls appear and disappear based on chosen settings. For example, Compression control is only turned on when SSB modes are selected. Similarly FM and VOX settings appear only when those functions are selected.

Notes:

The 7300 baud rate now defaults to 115200. The first time you connect with the new update, make sure the radio is off so the 115200 rate is used to turn it on.  The radio will only respond to the baud rate that was set when it was turned on. (If the radio is already on, connect at 19200, turn it off, change rate to 115200, and then turn it on again.)

Make sure the following settings are configured as described below so 115200 baud rate works properly.

MENU->SET->CONNECTORS->CI-V->CI-V USB PORT is set to ‘Unlink from [REMOTE]’
and
MENU->SET->CONNECTORS->CI-V->CI-V USB BAUD RATE is set to‘Auto’

These are the default factory settings.

VOX on the 7300 is only triggered if the modulation input source is the Microphone.  To set up RemoteTx to use VOX it is necessary to add an additional USB sound card to the Raspberry Pi and connect it to the Mic input (and phones output) as you would with any other VOX implementation. Then when you choose a Mod-Source that includes ‘Mic’, VOX can be activated and used.

 

Icom 7200:

Elecraft KX3 Added:

The Elecraft KX3 has been introduced. It’s available controls are similar to the KX2. There will be additional updates to the KX2 and KX3 in the near future.

 

Elecraft K3 Added (beta):

The Elecraft K3 is now available to general users.  It is still considered beta as there are a couple known outstanding issues to be addressed. It does detect and adjust to various module configurations including sub-receiver control.  The K3s will be supported pending one outstanding issue that needs to be addressed.
