The Robo Dog is a 3 x 1 antenna switch designed to solve the problem of using multiple antennas when your radio has only 1 antenna port. It allows you to connect up to 3 antennas to your radio and switch them directly from the RemoteTx web interface with the ‘Plug’ buttons.
Antenna selection is controlled by activating the appropriate GPIO ports on the RemoteTx Raspberry Pi. These GPIO ports are connected to the Robo Dog antenna switch directly to activate the relay that selects the desired operating antenna.
The RemoteTx interface has 3 ‘Plug’ buttons under the Setup tab. Each of these plug buttons activates 1 of the GPIO relays that in turn switches the radio to the desired antenna.
(The Group Plugs option makes it so only 1 Plug/Antenna is selected at a time.)
Your RemoteTx Raspberry Pi can be mounted inside the Robo Dog enclosure if desired, so your radio remote control and antenna switching is all in one tidy integrated box.
